|| Erosion is a Hell of a Drug ||

Delicate Arch is most likely the most recognizable arch in the States and possibly the world. If there is anything I've learned from landscape photography it's that golden hour is much more important on these orange rocks than the setting sun can be at times. The golden light dances on the already vibrant orange rocks and beams like stick of gold jutting out from the earth. The hike wasn't all that bad, but it's definitely time consuming so make sure to bring some water.

An Island In The Sky

Mesa Arch is this large arch that sits over a cliff in Canyonlands National Park. It’s usually filled with people in the morning trying to take in some frames.

We made the jump from Furnace Creek to Zabriskie Point on one fine early morning rise. I was captivated by the natural waves of rock, sand, and sediment. This is an older image, and my skills behind the viewfinder weren't quite as refined as they are today, but I really liked the mood of the image. Art is weird.

One of the very first images I took at Death Valley National Park. I remember that late night in June when we had Badwater all to ourselves. This vast openness of land was at our hip, and yet in the moment I felt closer to everything than I have ever felt before... It's hard to describe your first real moment in nature, but this was mine.
